Dark Berries!

Let your skin enjoy the deliciousness of the berries, just like you do! Anthocyanocides and polyphenols are two antioxidants found in abundance in blueberries. These help in fighting free radicals. Toss all those ingredients into a small food processor and blend until combined. Apply the mask to your face using small, circular motions.  I made sure to spend a little longer on areas where I wanted some specific exfoliation (forehead), but made quicker swipes where I didn’t (cheeks). Let sit on your face for a few minutes to let the oil and honey sink in and moisturize.  Remove with a small washcloth and warm water, buffing in small circles to promote circulation.  Pat dry. The sugar particles smoothed my skin and something in the combination of berries and honey really added softening.

Other Things to Keep in Mind

  1. Stop picking your face! Picking on pimples can spread the bacteria from the infections from your pimples to other parts of your face. This can lead to scarring and dark spots.
  2. Watch What You Eat. What you put into your body is just as important as what you on your body. Avoid foods that are processed, contain chemicals, toxins, GMO (genetically modified), MSG (monosodium glutamate) and gluten (if you have sensitivities). Whatever is put on your skin is absorbed directly into the body.
  3. Clean Your Pillowcase And Sheets. Daily pollutants, dead skin cells, and oils can gather on your bedding. Constant contact with unwashed bed linens can irritate your gentle skin and cause clogged pores.
